Loads Calculation and Strength Calculation of Landing String during Deepwater Drilling

As an important drilling tool, the landing string will be directly exposed to seawater during surface riserless operations, and it undergo complex deformation under action of environmental loads such as ocean currents waves displacement, heave vibration platform. At same time, with increase in water depth, floating weight drill pipe casing also increases significantly, bear great tensile loads, which can easily cause accidents. Therefore, this paper, based on ANSYS software, finite element analysis models three stages lowering operation were established, simulations different combinations working conditions carried out. Through theoretical numerical simulation, ultimate load stress distribution operating sea obtained, external force requirements for restraining lateral displacement proposed according existing standards industry. Thereby, recommended safe window required restraint reaction support mechanism are given throughout year.
